Jawaharlal Institute of Technology (Borawan), Khargone, is governed by the "Jawaharlal Nehru Charitable Educational Trust, Borawan," which was founded in 1996 under the Trust Registration Act with registration number 1/95-96 dated 13-06-1996. The trust was established by the dynamic leadership of its principal trustee, the late Shri Subhash Yadav, Former Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He envisioned creating centers dedicated to agriculture, the cooperative movement, Panchayati Raj, social welfare, and education throughout the country. The trust is committed to providing quality education through centers for higher learning, aiming to uplift the underprivileged youth of the Nimar Region in Madhya Pradesh and help them build a brighter future.
The Jawaharlal Institute of Technology was established in 1997. Over the past 28 years, the Institute has earned recognition for its academic excellence in the field of Engineering and Technology in the central region of Madhya Pradesh. The Institute provides a robust platform for students in research, innovation, training, and entrepreneurship.

All programs (Diploma, BTech, MTech, and MCA) at the Institute are approved by AICTE, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, and are affiliated with RGPV, Bhopal. The campus is eco-friendly, with modern infrastructure, smart classrooms, an advanced computer center, well-equipped laboratories, and a library that provides access to national and international journals, books, e-journals, and a digital library for the benefit of students and faculty.
The Institute boasts a highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty who share their expertise with students on the latest developments in Engineering and Technology.
